What trading strategies are allowed?

Updated over a week ago

Atmos supports multiple trading styles, from scalping to swing, manual trading to EAs. But to protect traders and ensure fair conditions, there are rules regarding certain events, strategies, and trades.

⚡ TL;DR

You can use EAs, swing/ intraday strategies. You cannot trade high‐impact news ±2 minutes, use disallowed strategies, or violate open risk limits.

🧰 Permitted vs Prohibited Strategies

Permitted

Prohibited / Restricted

Manual trading – scalping, swing, intraday

News trading within ±2 minutes of high‐impact events

Expert Advisors (EAs)

Unapproved proprietary EAs (e.g. arbitrage or HFT)

Holding trades overnight or over weekends

Hedging across accounts (if policy prohibits)

⚙️ News Trading Policy

  • Holding trades through news events is allowed generally, but trades opened or closed within 2 minutes before or after high‐impact economic events is highly prohibited.

  • This includes any opened or closed orders, pending orders, SL/TP triggered.

  • Profits from such trades will be removed if the policy is breached.

🔐 Open Risk and Single Trade Limits

  • You must not allocate too large of your equity or margin to a single open position.

  • Over-leveraging singly is prohibited; riskier strategies need careful sizing.
